Palm Jebel Ali, an ambitious project outlined in the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, is on track to become the world's largest man-made island. Spearheaded by Nakheel, this artificial archipelago surpasses Palm Jumeirah by 50% in size, boasting a distinctive design featuring a sprawling palm tree and an encircling crescent. Although construction initially commenced in 2001, financial hurdles led to a temporary pause; however, work has since resumed with the aim of completion in the mid-2020s. Positioned as a key residential, commercial, and recreational destination, Palm Jebel Ali stands not only as an architectural marvel but also as a strategic initiative poised to deliver significant economic benefits for Dubai.
